When deciding on the amount of memory for a computer that you are building from the ground up, always as much as you can. RAM or random access memory, is very useful for all the computers mainly for a high-performance machine such as a gaming computer.
When running programs that computer science is often access to certain data. The computer stores the data in your RAM. More RAM means your computer can handle more applications.
